My best critics are my family. They always tell me the truth - whether the food is good or not.

I started using Bessemer Cookware when my children were around 7 years old. Prior to Bessemer, my cookware was the cheap stuff that you purchase from the supermarket. These often stick and burn as you turn them on then stove. They are hard to clean. I often soaked them for days and couldn’t use them for days either. Quite a sight seeing them soaking in the sink!

A friend once invited to go to her “Margaret Fulton” cookware party (as she called it). I honestly told her that “I can not buy anything”. We were on one wage at that time. So as not to disappoint her, I went anyway. I barely paid attention to the demonstrator (she eventually became my Manager). Although I did not hear much about what she said, when I saw the cake coming out of the pan without sticking, it got my attention. So at the end of the demo, I ordered the same cookware that she cooked the cake in (the 3 Litre Classic and Lid).

When I received it. I hid it from my husband because I did not want him to to know that I spent so much money on a  piece of cookware! But while he was at work I tried cooking the cake. The cake was burnt- really black! So I called the Demonstrator and I told her that the cookware she sold me wasn’t much good. She asked me what I did and told her. I realised later that it was my fault. I did not hear a word of what she was saying during the demo, because I was more interested in the smell of the food that the hostess was cooking and the general gossip. But the demonstrator was very nice. She came to my house and showed me how to use it and at the same time convinced me to sign up. The rest is history.

I left Bessemer though. I wish I stayed. But I didn’t. I went on pursuing other sales jobs from telemarketing, mobile phone sales, holidays and finally went to into real estate. I decided to move back into Bessemer. So  to make the story short. I am back and it has been a good comeback. Now I am  re-training to rebuild my team with new recruits and with the same mentor and friend - Raquel Soutar.

Being back with  Bessemer not only helped get my cookware updated, but has also helped me generate some extra income. I am very happy to be back with Bessemer again.

I love cooking for my family and often experiment with my cooking. Using Bessemer cookware certainly helps me a lot in the kitchen. Bessemer makes food tasty no matter how simple the ingredients or recipe. Sometimes, my food doesn’t always turn out good. Because every meal I cooked is different. I never cook the same tasting food as I do not always measure my ingredients. But when I go to my cooking demos I make sure I measure the Self Raising flour  and water I used for my Pizza Base. But the topping is always different.
